Andrew Mercer has made Costa Rica his home for the past 17 years, relocating to the country at the age of 17. Throughout his time here, he has traveled the world in search of adventure, culture, and surf, which has helped shape his diverse skill set and deep appreciation for the lifestyle Costa Rica offers.
A seasoned real estate professional, Andrew brings a wealth of experience to the table. Before transitioning into real estate, he honed his customer service skills working in concierge services and property management, and later owned and operated a successful restaurant. These roles taught him the importance of attention to detail, relationship-building, and delivering exceptional service—traits he now applies in his real estate career.
Playa Langosta has been Andrew’s home base for over a decade, where he has also managed his own rental property for 12 years. This hands-on experience has given him an in-depth understanding of the local area, property values, and what makes this region so special for both buyers and investors.
Andrew began his real estate career under the mentorship of Brian and the Christie’s brokerage team, where he spent 10 years developing his expertise. Now, as a seasoned team leader, he is committed to providing his clients with an extensive, localized knowledge of the Guanacaste area.
Beyond real estate, Andrew is an avid fisherman, surfer, chef, and father, fully immersed in the local lifestyle. He even offers inshore fishing tours when he’s not working with Christie’s. As a skilled photographer and videographer, Andrew creates captivating content for some of Costa Rica's top surfers and produces premium real estate videos, commercials, and stunning drone footage to highlight properties in their best light. Whether he's helping clients find their dream home or capturing the essence of the Guanacaste coastline, Andrew's passion for the region shines through in everything he does.
